Both independent storage lids lift easily and hold their position properly.Finish & Appearance: The wood features a beautiful, warm honey-oak finish with an excellent satin luster that shows off the natural grain beautifully.Exterior Wear: The piece is in remarkable cosmetic shape. There is minimal surface wear, limited to faint, superficial hairline scratches on the seating panels and a tiny cosmetic nick along the very top back edge—all completely consistent with gentle, normal residential use.Interior Storage: The dual inner compartments are structurally sound and clean. The right floor panel has a light, isolated surface ring/water stain from historical use, which is entirely hidden when the lids are closed. less
