It unfolds through layered gestures, shifting color, and a sense of organic movement within an elongated vertical format. Muted grays and soft lavender and violet tones are punctuated by deeper burgundy, red, ochre, gray and black, creating a complex field in which forms emerge and recede.

The composition balances energetic marks with quieter passages of exposed linen, giving the surface a sense of depth and movement. The unusual 30 × 13-inch proportions create a strong vertical presence, making the work especially well suited to a narrow wall, between windows, beside a doorway, or as part of a larger grouping.
