Striking console table with a dramatic solid marble cantilevered top. It has a combined cylindrical marble and geometric slate base. This table is angular and cylindrical at once. One side of the marble top is a square edge and one side is a jagged edge.
Designed in 1983 by the legendary Italian design duo Lella and Massimo Vignelli for Casigliani. The top is 1 solid piece of veined white Carrara marble. The asymmetric portion of the base is dark grey slate and cylindrical column is dove grey marble. Designs from this period of Postmodern Italian minimalism, as well as the Memphis Group colorful and bold designs, have out lasted many other Italian styles as well as international designs. This table in particular is an ageless design that works as well today as it did when it was first conceived in 1983.
