This is a very striking dining table with a dramatic cantilevered solid marble top. It has a cylindrical marble and geometric slate base. This table is angular and cylindrical at once. One side of the marble top is a flat square edge while the other side is a jagged edge.
Designed in 1983 by the legendary Italian design duo Lella and Massimo Vignelli for Casigliani. The top is solid veined white Carrara marble and the base consists of an asymmetric dark grey slate leg and a contrasting cylindrical column. Designs from this period of Postmodern Italian minimalism, as well as the Memphis Group colorful and bold designs, have out lasted many other styles from this period. This table in particular is an ageless design that works as well today as it did when it was first conceived in 1983.
