A striking pair of vintage French Neoclassical / Louis XVI style armchairs (Fauteuils) by Andre Originals Mfg. Co. (Rahway, NJ). Featuring carved giltwood frames adorned with classic Neoclassical details including fluted tapered legs, acanthus/leaf carved hand rests, beaded molding, and a top crest with a tied ribbon bow motif.
Upholstered in a tapestry-style fabric showcasing classical Greek or Roman figurative scenes, Greek key borders, and scrolling leaf patterns, complete with padded armrests (manchettes) and fully upholstered backs.
