The head is formed from a spun aluminium cylinder with a wider open cowl ring at the front, held by three fine pins that leave a visible gap between the two sections - an anti-glare detail that also allows the shade to be read as two distinct forms.

the head fits to a collar and knuckle joint that slides the full height of the stem , allowing the light to be raised, lowered, tilted and rotated through a full range of positions. A square machined block partway up the stem houses a black toggle switch set into a circular escutcheon plate. Black round flex runs externally from the head, down past the switch block and out at the base, left exposed as part of the design.
