Each chest wears the classic serpentine bombé silhouette, its curved case swelling gently outward and tapering to shaped bracket feet, a form borrowed from 18th-century Louis XV cabinetry and beloved ever since for the warmth and movement it brings to a room.

The rich fruitwood grain has been finished to a deep amber-cherry glow, and no two drawer fronts read quite the same thanks to the natural figuring of the wood. Hand-carved acanthus leaf pilasters flank each drawer bank, with a delicate carved floral molding running the width of the case between drawers — details you only find on furniture built before "quick and easy" became the standard. Each nightstand offers two felt-lined drawers, both fitted with ornate cast bronze drop-pull hardware with a soft aged patina that matches the wood beautifully.
