19th-century antique copper and brass alloy decorative planter/jardinière cachepot. This piece features detailed repoussé floral relief work along the exterior wall, a rolled rim, and ornate cast decorative side handles secured with heavy hand-hammered rivets.
The interior photos show period craftsmanship vertical dovetail (cramp) joinery seams and a hand-pieced base. It retains some of its verdigris oxidized patina, but also some bare metal in golden and salmon tones that could be easily polished.
