Established west of the Allegheny Mountains and operated by generations of the Cornelison family, Bybee pieces remain highly collectible treasures of American stoneware history.

This charming, bulbous jar is finished in Bybee’s iconic, deep cobalt blue glaze. It features a beautiful, frothy reactive glaze pattern that yields subtle lighter blue and white cascading flecks across the glossy finish. The primitive, wheel-thrown character is visible in its gentle shape, complete with a perfectly fitted matching lid topped with a robust, rounded finial knob.

This piece measures approximately 4.5” inches tall. The unglazed base beautifully reveals the natural, rich Madison County red clay and features the authentic, hand-incised "BB" maker's mark used during the 1970s and 1980s production period.

While traditionally used as a honey pot or kitchen spice canister, its vibrant hue makes it an excellent standalone decorative statement piece for farmhouse, cottagecore, or transitional interior styling. See less
