This heavy, hollow-cast metal statue boasts dramatic, aerodynamic stepped tiers along its spine and haunches, evoking the peak machine-age aesthetic of the 1930s. The entire piece is finished in a high-gloss, deep jet-black lacquer coat that beautifully captures architectural lighting and highlights its minimalist, geometric silhouette. The unglazed, filed perimeter of the base and the highly textured interior cavity confirm its traditional hollow-cast non-ferrous metal foundry origins (spelter or heavy zinc alloy). A gorgeous, commanding statement piece for a modernist mantle, desktop, or bookshelf. I love the sleek, art deco look and high gloss enamel. See less
