This is an elegant vintage Chinese Huali (Rosewood) round box, featuring a sophisticated jeweled lid.
At the center of the lid is a beautifully carved, pale jade disc (depicting a traditional motif). Surrounding the jade are six vibrant cabochon gemstones in alternating colors of turquoise green and coral red, elegantly set into the wood.
The wood itself has a rich, reddish-brown tone with a beautiful grain and a smooth, glossy finish. The circular shape and small size make it the perfect receptacle for small treasures, such as rings, earrings, meditation beads, or tea.
