The tall cylindrical shade of hand … Read more Cesendello floor lamp designed by Mariano Fortuny and produced by Venetia Studium, circa 2000. The tall cylindrical shade of hand screen-printed silk in Fortuny's signature Byzantine and Moorish-inspired pattern is edged with glass beads and finished with silk tassels, and hangs from a slender painted-iron and brass stand with a velvet-trimmed base. Named after the hanging oil lamps of Venetian churches, the Cesendello is one of Fortuny's most celebrated lighting designs, first conceived in the early 20th century and still produced in Venice today. Silk manufacturer's label to the edge of the shade reads "Venetia Stvdivm Made in Italy 100% Silk". Made in Italy. See less
