Beautiful, cohesive matching pair of genuine antique copperplate engravings/etchings depicting the monumental classical architecture of Rome. These historical pieces were produced in the late 18th to early 19th century (closely matching the plate style of Charles Taylor's The Artist's Repository) for Grand Tour enthusiasts and collectors of classical antiquities.

 2. View of the Historical Column of ANTONINUS at Rome! (An important period printing error: this scene historically misidentifies and actually depicts the Column of Marcus Aurelius in Piazza Colonna). One print retains an authentic, early pencil inscription reading "1822" in the bottom margin corner, denoting a period cataloging date or acquisition year.

This piece features excellent provenance, originating from the private art collection of David J. Bikoff, M.D., P.A., New Jersey, bearing the original collection inventory sticker on the reverse (Inventory PA 83, Ref: TC-1 and TC-2).

Beautifully housed in matching champagne/silver-toned metallic frames with wide, neutral brown mats that perfectly complement the natural toning of the antique paper. The frames are highly versatile, equipped with both tabletop easel backs and integrated metal loops for immediate wall hanging.

The antique prints are in excellent condition for their age, showing gorgeous, authentic paper warming and faint, minimal foxing/spotting that confirms their period origin. No tears or distractions to the main images. The frames show light handling wear on the backing board paper from estate storage, but they are structurally sound, clean, glass-protected, and ready to display. See less
