This piece features high-relief songbirds in flight surrounded by flowering branch sprays against a textured basketweave ground. The twig-form handle extends into delicate branches along the body, leading to a scalloped rim.

The interior is lined in a rich lavender glaze—a signature feature of fine Victorian majolica designed to prevent staining from liquids. The underside shows an unglazed stilt-marked base with characteristic glaze wash.
