This is a magnificent vintage Chinese gilt bronze statue of a high-ranking deity, likely the Dragon King (Guangji Longwang) or a God of Wealth, seated majestically on a carved throne.
The figure is dressed in traditional imperial robes adorned with elaborate polychrome painting in reds, greens, and blues, heavily accented with gold gilding. He holds a ceremonial tablet in his hands, symbolizing authority, and features a fierce, bearded face beneath an ornate crown. The throne features intricately carved mythical beast heads on the armrests and a sumptuous carved pedestal base with Ruyi motifs.
