Lilac Trees - Koloa, Kauai, Hawaii Original Landscape in Oil Paint by Katherine Baldwin
Wonderful impressionistic landscape painting of Koloa, on the Island of Kauai, Hawaii by Katherine O. Baldwin (American, 20th Century), 1971. Katherine Baldwin is a member of the large and storied Baldwins, Hawaiian Islands family with deep roots in old Hawaii. This piece is lively and vibrant, with bright colors and expressive brushstrokes. In the center is a small house with two figures standing in front of it, around them the branches of the trees create a canopy.
Signed and dated lower right and titled "Kaloa" on the Island of Kauai on verso.
Canvas size: 14"H x 18"W.
Unframed.
