Striking signed studio art glass vase by Young & Constantin.
A substantial hand-blown sculptural form featuring a rich cobalt and turquoise blue body encased in clear glass, dramatically flaring toward an asymmetrical amber-gold rim. The sweeping, architectural silhouette and exceptional thickness of the glass give the piece considerable visual presence.
The vase stands approximately 16 inches tall and is exceptionally heavy and substantial for its size. The underside is hand-engraved “Young & Constantin” and numbered, identifying the work by the American studio-glass partnership of Kathleen Young and Christopher Constantin.
Beautiful as a standalone sculptural object and particularly striking in a modern, contemporary or eclectic interior.
