Description:
Presenting a truly spectacular, massive, and exceptionally heavy (3940g) vintage Chinese cloisonné enamel vase. This piece is crafted in the opulent style of the Qing Dynasty Imperial Court, featuring a classic slender neck, a bulbous body, and two intricately pierced vertical ear handles.
The vase is set against a deep, rich cobalt blue ground, which is densely decorated with scrolling polychrome lotus vines, ruyi clouds, and geometric borders. The surface is embellished with numerous vibrant green cabochon stones (simulating jade or malachite) set within enameled flower centers, adding an opulent, jewel-like quality.
The main body features two large, shaped cartouches (open panels) framed in bronze. One panel depicts a serene scene of two majestic cranes standing on rocks beneath a willow tree on a bright yellow ground—a classic symbol of longevity. The other panel depicts a vibrant orange pheasant or bird flying amongst lush green bamboo. Both are detailed with flowing streams and colorful rocks.
The underside of the vase is also enameled with floral patterns and bears a central bronze square seal.
Condition: Excellent condition. The enamel is vibrant and intact with no visible missing pieces, chips, or cracks. All green stone accents are securely in place. The bronze rims and base show a natural, aged patina. Please refer to all photos for exact condition.
With its substantial weight and commanding presence, this monumental vase is a true statement piece, perfect for a grand entryway, a large console table, or as a focal point in any elegant Asian-inspired interior.
