This is a beautiful vintage Chinese Cloisonné (Jingtai Lan) incense burner, modeled after an ancient bronze Ding (rectangular tripod vessel).
The rectangular body is richly decorated with vibrant, wire-enamel floral motifs set against a classic turquoise background. The intricate colors include bright reds, yellows, and greens. The piece features two prominent, bronze "crown-shaped" handles (冠耳) that sweep elegantly outward, and it rests on four short, solid bronze legs.
The exposed copper/bronze elements—the rim, handles, and feet—have developed a warm, dark aged patina that contrasts beautifully with the bright enamel. Weighing over 3.7 lbs, it is a substantial and striking piece. It is perfect for use as an incense holder, a decorative centerpiece for a table, or a stunning collector's item of Chinese metalwork.
