The Restoration Hardware Mayfair Steamer Trunk Secretary is a statement mobile office piece designed in collaboration with furniture maker Timothy Oulton.
Inspired by vintage 20th-century travel luggage, it appears as a handsome, leather- or canvas-clad trunk when closed. Unfolding reveals a pull-down desktop, multiple storage drawers, cubbies, bookshelves, and integrated wire management. Hand-hammered brass nailheads, leather-edged canvas lining, and a solid wood frame wrapped in distressed leathers (like Vintage Cigar or Old Saddle). Built on heavy-duty casters/wheels so the substantial cabinet can be easily moved.
