The mythical beasts are powerfully sculpted in high relief, featuring fierce expressions, muscular bodies, curled tails, and one paw resting on a brocade ball.

Each lion has a long, curved horn that extends upward to support a flared candle cup. The cup features a beast mask, holding a loose ring (a classic Chinese "dangling ring" motif).
