The vessel features a bulbous body decorated with intricate wire-enamel depicting large, blooming lotus flowers in vivid reds, yellows, and greens, surrounded by scrolling vines against a classic turquoise background.

The piece is flanked by two heavy, aged bronze handles curving elegantly upward from the shoulders. The rim and the splayed base are left un-enameled, showing the dark, tarnished patina of the pure copper/bronze metal, which provides a beautiful contrast to the bright enamel.
