A striking French 1930s writing desk featuring an elegant, gently curved apron, tapered legs, and an inset leather writing surface. This classic piece offers excellent storage with three functional drawers, each accented with original metal keyhole escutcheons. Simple raised edging around back of desk to prevent articles from rolling off.

This piece is a prime candidate for restoration. It exhibits visible wear consistent with age and use, including notable chipping to the veneer along the bottom edge of the drawer apron and legs, surface scratches on the wood, and patina/wear to the leather insert. Sold as-is, perfect for a refinishing project. Structurally sound with drawers and locks in working condition, center lock mullion has fallen off, but is included.
