A striking pair of contemporary Venetian wall sconces distinguished by their exceptionally elongated proportions and sculptural simplicity.
Each sconce is formed from a tall, gently curved panel of hand-worked acid-etched Venetian glass, creating a soft, subtly translucent surface that beautifully diffuses the light. The elongated shield-like silhouette tapers gently toward the base and terminates in a softly rounded top, giving the sconces an elegant, almost architectural presence.
Concealed illumination behind the glass produces pools of warm light that reveal the nuanced texture and depth of the acid-etched surface. Two understated brass fittings secure each glass panel at the center, adding a refined metallic accent without interrupting the purity of the design.
Minimal yet luxurious, these sconces combine the artisanal tradition of Venetian glassmaking with a distinctly contemporary sensibility. Their impressive vertical scale makes them particularly effective flanking a large mirror, doorway, console or architectural feature.
These sconces have been newly wired to fit US standards. Contemporary Venetian production. Excellent condition.
