Handcrafted by French artisans from solid beechwood, the set combines elaborate neoclassical carving, genuine gold-leaf finishes and rich blue-green velvet upholstery.
Each frame displays characteristic Louis XVI details, including carved floral garlands, rosettes, scrolling foliage and balanced architectural proportions. The solid beechwood frames were professionally refinished several years ago in genuine gold leaf, creating a warm antique-gold patina that emphasizes the carving while retaining an appropriately aged appearance.
The complete suite has been recently reupholstered in luxurious blue-green velvet, with deep tufting adding texture and comfortable support. Depending on the lighting, the velvet may appear more blue or green, giving the fabric an attractive tonal depth.
Distinctive decorative scenic panels add further character to the ensemble. The sofa features a romantic ballroom-inspired composition, while the chair panels depict elegantly dressed couples in garden settings, complementing the historic French character of the frames.

Very good antique condition with natural age-related wear consistent with furniture dating to the early 1900s.
