Description:
Presenting a magnificent and highly auspicious vintage Chinese cloisonné sculpture, depicting a vibrant Rooster perched atop a mythical Dragon Turtle (Bixi / Ao). This iconic composition is known in Chinese culture as "Duzhan Aotou" (独占鳌头), a traditional symbol of standing out, achieving top honors, and career success.

The base is a majestic Dragon Turtle featuring a deeply enameled green shell decorated with swirling, multi-colored ruyi clouds. Its body and legs are finished in a vivid turquoise and magenta enamel, with a detailed, gilt bronze dragon head and a sweeping, curled tail.

Standing proudly on the turtle's back is a magnificent, fully sculpted gilt bronze Rooster. It features highly detailed, deeply carved feathers and a vibrant red and orange enameled body. Its wings are outstretched high in a triumphant pose, displaying exquisite craftsmanship. The underside of the turtle bears a stamped square seal reading "乾隆年制" (Made in the Qianlong Period), a traditional reverence mark.

Condition: Excellent condition. The enamel and gilding are vibrant and intact with no visible missing pieces, chips, or cracks. Minor surface wear and natural patina to the exposed gilt metal are consistent with age and gentle display. Please refer to all photos for exact condition.
