Description:
Presenting a magnificent and vibrant vintage Chinese cloisonné enamel vase in the highly auspicious "Double-Gourd" (Hulu) shape, which symbolizes good fortune and prosperity.
The vase is beautifully crafted on a solid copper body with intricate hand-wired filigree (掐丝) and is set against a striking, bright imperial yellow ground densely decorated with stylized ruyi clouds. The upper gourd features two gracefully flying cranes (symbols of longevity), while the lower gourd is dominated by a fierce, multi-colored blue and green dragon, accompanied by a vibrant phoenix and vivid red flames chasing a green flaming pearl.
The vase is topped with a matching yellow enameled lid featuring a dome finial and a carved bronze stem. The base is oxidized bronze with a central Taijitu (Yin-Yang) symbol and a recessed seal.
Condition: Excellent condition. The enamel is vibrant with no visible missing pieces, chips, or cracks. The copper/bronze rims and bases show a natural, aged patina and slight oxidation consistent with vintage age and gentle display. Please refer to all photos for exact condition.
