Description:
Presenting a magnificent and heavy Chinese bronze lidded vase, crafted in the classic Archaic "Hu" (壶) shape and heavily styled after the ancient Han Dynasty (206 BC – 220 AD).

This vase is entirely covered in a rich, heavy verdigris (green patina) mixed with red and brown earthy tones, giving it a dramatic, museum-quality aged appearance. The vase features a tapered body, a flaring neck, and two beautifully cast dragon head handles with curled snouts. The domed lid is topped with a large, twisted bronze ring finial.

The most striking feature is the intricate body, which is densely decorated with a long, continuous cast inscription in ancient Chinese characters, mimicking ancient bronze commemorative texts. It also features classic geometric bands (such as the Greek key/meander pattern) around the neck and shoulders.

Condition: Excellent vintage condition. The thick, heavily patinated surface is stable. No dents, cracks, or repairs observed. The patina shows minor surface wear consistent with age and handling. Please refer to all photos for exact condition.
