Two registers of paired concentric target-ring motifs, a solar-eye form recognizable in Igbo carving, anchor the top and bottom of the door, while a central band carries a rhythmic row of horizontal lens-shaped eye forms framed by scalloped crescent borders. The surface carries a deep, saturated espresso-brown patina with visible oil staining consistent with long domestic or compound use. At 19 inches wide and 54 inches tall, this is a narrow single-slab form, likely built for a compound gate or storage-room entrance rather than a main house door, and it reads well today as a freestanding sculptural panel. The dense, repeating geometry across all three registers gives it real presence at a smaller footprint, suited to a narrow wall run, beside a doorway, or anywhere a full-width door wouldn't fit.
