Elegant antique French cast-metal urn, approximately 9 inches tall, featuring an exceptional Neoclassical design with Art Nouveau influence. The urn is adorned with graceful classical maiden/cherub figures in flowing drapery, ornate scrolled handles, and a flared rim embellished with acanthus-leaf detailing.
The lower body bears a circular French marking reading “FABRICATION FRANÇAISE – PARIS – MADE IN FRANCE” with a central anchor emblem.
The hollow center extends through the piece from the top to the bottom and is consistent with a form that may have been used with mounting hardware or as a lamp component; its original function has not been definitively established.
The urn retains its aged original finish, with areas of rubbing and wear consistent with age and use. The surface variation gives the piece an authentic timeworn character and attractive antique patina. The casting remains beautifully detailed.
