A Marvel Furniture & Co quarter-sawn dresser with mirror in beautiful condition.
Marvel Furniture Co. was an early-to-mid 20th-century furniture maker based in Jamestown, New York, famous for solid quarter-sawn tiger oak and tiger maple bedroom pieces like dressers, washstands, and highboys. During this time, American Colonial Revival design became popular as homeowners looked back to the furniture traditions of the 18th century and Jamestown was known as one of America’s important furniture-making centers during this period.
