The upper register carries a standing carved figure holding ceremonial items in each hand, flanked by a second smaller figure or attendant, ancestral or ceremonial imagery rather than a documented narrative scene. Below that, the main field is filled with a dense, undulating chain of stepped diamond and zigzag ridges, deeply carved parallel striations forming an intricate maze-like pattern across nearly the full panel. The patina is a weathered honey-tan with visible hand-adze tool marks on the reverse. Figural carving like this is genuinely less common than the purely geometric Igbo doors elsewhere in this collection, which adds real rarity. At 16 inches wide, this reads as a narrower single-slab door with unusually dense, layered carving, well suited to an entryway or stairwell where its figural register and maze-like lower field can both be appreciated up close.
