this shelving unit is the "bokhylla" folding model designed by jan schedin for the ikea ps collection in 1997.
design: birch structure with green laminate panels, consisting of four hinged, foldable sections.

this versatile folding bookcase was part of a collection of forty products by twenty designers, which the swedish furniture retail giant ikea introduced in 1994 under the ikea ps name.
