Beautifully carved wooden carved Putti with silver Heavenly Crown, Winged in silver leaf and polychromed over-all.
The eyes are glass-inset, and it stands on a cloud with a wide, open stare of wonder in the light of heaven. The finely carved hands and feet are expressive and delicate.
19th Century Carved and Polychromed Santos. Carved standing and winged angel. Life-like eyes with a three-part silver crown. The wings are attached by screws to the rear ( see detailed photos), and the body is carved in sections and polychrome with gesso over the whole. Italian angel cut to represent a standing figure on billowing silver-leafed clouds. The size is 28" tall 15 1/2" by 14 1/2" base overall. The condition is excellent. Shipping the wings will be removed for separate packages.
