These vintage pedestals from Italy each feature a rounded column form, surmounted by a circular display top, and resting on a stepped octagonal plinth base and with circular stack molded trim. The original faux-marble painted finish (with some later touch ups) is executed in rich shades of ochre, amber, and honey gold with contrasting off-white and grey at top and bottom. The surfaces retain their authentic age and patina, with scattered wear, small losses, cracks, and areas of paint distress consistent with decades of use, all contributing to their decorative charm. These mid-century Italian pedestals, just shy of 3 feet in height, are ideal for displaying sculptures, busts, urns, plants, or other cherished decorative objects, while adding architectural character and warmth to the room.
