A "Revontuli" bowl - the name is Finnish for "northern lights" — designed by Tauno Wirkkala for Humppila Glassworks in the 1970s.
The whole form radiates from a dark amber pool at the centre outward into ribbed, icicle-like rays that thin to water-clear at the rim, where the edge is left raw and serrated. Held up to the light the colour burns orange through the middle and the ribs throw a fan of shadows across the table - the effect the series was named for.
