A striking set of three handcrafted studio pottery candlesticks attributed to Regina Voncannon of Pottery Junction in Seagrove, North Carolina. The graduated trio features elegant hourglass forms with individually varied blue and teal glazes accented by deep burgundy and plum tones.
The tallest candlestick has a particularly sculptural silhouette, while the two shorter examples complement it with subtly differing proportions. Displayed together, the variations in height and glaze create a beautiful collected arrangement characteristic of handmade Seagrove pottery.
The underside bears an incised potter’s mark along with what appears to be “99,” suggesting a circa 1999 date. Because the mark is somewhat difficult to decipher, the attribution is presented conservatively based on the available provenance and identifying information.
