Bold matched pair of vintage Frederick Cooper table lamps dating to the 1970s, featuring rich ruby-red glazed porcelain vase-form bodies with elaborate Hollywood Regency detailing.
Each lamp is mounted on an ornate square base with gilt-metal lacework trim and decorative feet. Sculptural gilt leaves surround the necks, while oversized burgundy and gold decorative tassels add another layer of dramatic period detail.
The lamps retain coordinating Tyndale bell shades in a warm gold-toned textured fabric, finished with burgundy twisted-cord trim. The shades beautifully echo the colors of the tassels and give the pair a particularly complete, decorator-ready appearance.
The combination of saturated ruby-red porcelain, gilt ornament, Asian-inspired vase form, and exuberant textile details is quintessential Frederick Cooper and wonderfully representative of 1970s Hollywood Regency design.
