Rare original studio fiber art piece by renowned Bay Area artist and CCA Professor Emerita Nance O'Banion (b. 1949). Known for pioneering work in 3D textile structures, O'Banion combines fine metallic mesh weave, folded geometric forms, and bamboo/wire structural stays. Hand-signed "N. O'Banion" near the lower margin.
Custom gallery-mounted in an archival shadowbox with a linen mat by Sterling Art Services, San Francisco. Dimensions: 27" x 17". Excellent vintage condition with natural age patina. Works by O'Banion are held in major public collections, including the Smithsonian Renwick Gallery and the Fine Arts Museums of San Francisco. A standout piece of mid-century/modernist fiber art decor.
