Cast iron arms were brushed of any … Read more A late 1800's -early 1900's American made,Victorian style bench with cast iron arms. Cast iron arms were brushed of any oxidation and refinished with a protective black coating for durability and tradition. When looking closely at the arms, parts may look more shallow than others due to the oxidation and brushing down process. Bench seat is made of its original cedar slats. Each slat was removed, sanded, and coated with clear spar urethane for ultimate heat and weather protection. One slat that was damaged due to age and neglect is refinished with wood putty. The entire bench was put back together with brand new stainless steel nuts and bolts to avoid any future rusting. See less
