Description:
Decorate your space with this magnificent and elegant matching pair of vintage Chinese cloisonné enamel vases. Crafted on solid purple copper bodies with intricate hand-wired filigree (掐丝), they are decorated with the highly auspicious "Phoenix and Peony" (凤凰牡丹) motif, symbolizing wealth, honor, and good fortune.

Set against a beautiful pale sky-blue ground (浅蓝地), the vases are densely painted with continuous, stylized ruyi cloud patterns. The main body of each vase features large, blooming pink peony flowers intertwined with green foliage and vibrant red-orange phoenixes perched atop grey scholar's rocks. One vase also features a graceful grey bird in flight.

The vases have a distinct, elegant silhouette with a flaring rim, a slim neck, a bulbous body, and a splayed base. The rims, necks, and base collars are accented with bright, polished brass bands and classic red, white, and black geometric scrollwork. The bottoms are fully enameled in a striking turquoise green.

Condition: Excellent condition. The enamel is vibrant with no visible missing pieces, chips, or cracks. The polished brass rims and base collars are bright, with only minor, age-appropriate surface wear. Please refer to all photos for exact condition.
