◆ DESIGN INFLUENCE
The white ribbed ceramic body, simple dark wood base, brass-tone fittings, and elongated architectural form are visually consistent with American Mid-Century ceramic lighting associated with makers such as Design Technics.
This lamp is unsigned and has no surviving manufacturer label or maker mark, so it is being described only as “in the style of Design Technics” and is not attributed to that company.
Its clean white ceramic surface and warm wood contrast make it especially versatile for Mid-Century Modern, organic modern, Japandi, warm minimalist, and contemporary interiors.
◆ HISTORY
Ceramic table lamps became a defining part of American postwar interiors during the 1950s through the 1970s, when designers increasingly combined sculptural pottery forms with natural wood and warm metallic hardware.
This lamp reflects that design movement with its restrained bottle-shaped profile, fine horizontal ribbing, neutral white finish, and substantial 29-inch scale.
◆ STYLING
This lamp would work especially well on a living room side table, entry console, bedroom nightstand, credenza, office desk, or reading area.
Pair it with a simple linen drum shade for a clean organic modern look, a textured natural-fiber shade for Japandi styling, or a period-inspired shade for a stronger Mid-Century Modern presentation.
Its tall 29-inch height gives it enough visual presence to work as a statement lamp rather than a small accent light.
◆ SHIPPING
Alaska, Hawaii, Puerto Rico, U.S. territories, and other offshore or remote destinations are not included in $22 shipping due to substantially higher carrier costs.
Buyers in those locations should contact ModRetroLiving before purchasing for a shipping quote and any additional shipping cost.
