Vintage hand-painted wooden decorative tray featuring a beautifully rendered Asian-inspired landscape with white elephants, a domed pavilion, tropical foliage, lotus flowers, mountains, and water. The unusually large, organically scalloped form makes this as much a piece of decorative art as a functional tray.
The painting has a wonderful muted palette of dusty coral, sage, blue-green, and ivory, with extensive hand-drawn detailing throughout. The elephant scene is particularly charming, while the dramatic botanical and rock formations create a very distinctive overall composition.
