A striking mid-century ceramic lava glaze table lamp with a tall, slender silhouette and heavily textured white glaze revealing warm reddish-brown ceramic beneath.

The dramatic surface treatment gives this lamp the handcrafted, sculptural character associated with 1960s–1970s studio-inspired and lava-glaze pottery lighting.

CONDITION
Good vintage working condition.

The ceramic body has no observed broken areas. The heavily textured and irregular surface is an intentional part of the glaze treatment and gives the lamp its distinctive character.

The metal base and fittings show normal age-related surface wear, including light scratches, marks and patina visible in the photographs.

The cord is a newer replacement and the lamp has been tested and works properly.

DESIGN & STYLE
The combination of an elongated ceramic form, earthy brown pottery and coarse white textural glaze strongly reflects the experimental ceramic lighting popular during the mid-20th century.
