The face is divided into four horizontal registers by chevron and rope-twist molding bands: a top row of standing attendant figures, a row of figures holding curved bow-like forms, a band that reads as a procession of figures linked by a continuous wavy binding line, and a bottom row of kneeling figures carrying loads alongside seated elder figures. Read together, it's a narrative composition rather than a repeating pattern, court and procession scenes rather than abstract geometry. The patina is a warm honey-amber with visible adze marks and softened edges consistent with genuine age. At 23 inches wide and 53 inches tall, it's sized for a focused wall moment, above a console, in an entry, or as a narrower anchor beside a doorway, where the tiered scenes can be read up close.
