An elegant bombé commode in veneered and inlaid wood, in the Louis XV-Louis XVI Transition style.
The front features a refined design with several drawers arranged in three rows. It is richly decorated with geometric marquetry, frames, and interlaced motifs that highlight the different wood species.
The curved uprights extend into tall, cabriole legs and are adorned with bronze mounts, as are the keyhole escutcheons, drawer pulls, and sabots.
The commode is topped with a substantial molded marble slab in beautiful shades of red, ochre, and cream, cut to follow the contours of the front and sides.
A striking decorative piece, characteristic of the French taste inspired by the 18th century.
