Oak frame and cotton blend upholstery. Scandinavian production, 1960s. Reupholstered.
Scandinavian armchair with an oak frame, featuring sides in which the front and rear uprights extend to define the armrests. The construction remains fully visible, and the joints are highlighted by visible through-hole screws, which become part of the design along with the seat crosspieces. The seat and backrest have been reupholstered in an ecru cotton blend, replacing the original upholstery. The design of the sides, left fully visible, is one of the elements that recall Scandinavian production from the 1960s, in which the frame directly contributed to the character of the piece.
