Teak frame and original upholstery. Designed by Grete Jalk for Glostrup Møbelfabrik, Denmark, 1960s.
Designed by Grete Jalk for Glostrup Møbelfabrik in the 1960s, these armchairs feature a solid teak frame in which each element remains clearly visible. The armrests, tapered toward the ends, connect to the front uprights with a continuous profile, while the backrest leaves the vertical elements of the frame exposed at the rear. Trained at the Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts under Kaare Klint, Grete Jalk paid particular attention to construction quality and the ability to combine mass production with meticulous woodwork, aspects that are also reflected in this model. The seats and backrests retain their original ecru fabric upholstery.
