Teak bedside table with three drawers. Scandinavian production, 1950s/1960s.
Made in Scandinavia between the 1950s and 1960s, this bedside table features a teak frame supported by four tapered legs. The three drawers are defined by oval handles carved directly into the wood, a detail requiring meticulous craftsmanship and contributing to the overall clean lines. The sides blend smoothly with the top, creating a continuous profile that lightens the volume and highlights the clean lines. The drawers feature dovetail joints, a testament to meticulous craftsmanship. The overall design reflects the essential style of Scandinavian production of the period, where quality materials and precision craftsmanship prevail over decorative elements.
