Steven Scheffer (1950–1984) was a Dutch artist who became best known for his impressive hyperrealistic drawings and paintings.
His work is characterized by exceptional technical precision and a dreamy, often mysterious atmosphere.
Female figures formed a recurring theme and were often inspired by the people in his immediate surroundings.
Scheffer worked in the Netherlands and on Ibiza, among other places, where he devoted himself entirely to his art.
His life came to a tragic end when he died at the age of 34 from a fall from a city wall on Ibiza.
